The Maiden Voyage

Greetings!

Historically, I have only blogged on occasion, and only when I was desperately needing to vent or get things off my chest.

That being said, it's surprising I didn't begin blogging about the home buying process a whole heck of a lot sooner, cause there's been a lot of venting that has needed to happen up to this point.

Let me be clear.

Whoever says that buying a home should be fun has a perverted view of fun.

Sure, I really am excited about the final result and excited about being in a home of my own, but I think I'm more excited for it to totally be done and finished, so I don't have to worry about hearing terms like 'brokerage fee' or 'earnest money' or 'MLS listing' or my favorite- 'resell value' at least for a long time.

My hope is that through this blog, several things will happen.

1) I will be able to vent about my frustrations and also share in my successes in this home buying process.
2) I can hopefully get input/advice/snide comments from you, the general public.
3) Hopefully make you smile with what I write. (Whether your smiling is because you think I'm funny or because you think I'm making the worst mistake of my life is up to you.)
4) Maybe gain some donations to offset the cost of my new home. ;)

Tomorrow, I plan on beginning by telling you about the first two weeks of the journey, and maybe I'll stay committed to this blog enough to go forward even after I buy the home and I'll post before/after pictures of the work I do.

For now though, I'm going to take some Excedrin, wash it down with a Bud Light, and go to bed.
